About Talking Birds Avian Newspaper

Talking Birds is Australia's only newspaper devoted to the care and breeding of birds in Australia.

Published during the first week each month, it provides readers with up-to-date information on what's happening in the bird keeping scene in Australia.

It contains articles on finches, canaries, parrots, cockatoos, budgerigars, soft bills, pigeons, pheasants and waterfowl.

News from Australia and around the world is published every month, together with a veterinary column, pet bird column and listings for bird clubs and avian veterinary practices around Australia.

Talking Birds has an Aviary Marketplace section where birds, accessories and equipment are advertised.

Advertising bookings for Aviary Marketplace close on the last Friday each month, with the paper on sale and mailed to subscribers early the next week.

The Documents section of this website contains documents from regulatory authorities and bird keeping groups which may be of interest to bird keepers.
