The Australian Alpaca Association Ltd. represents owners at all levels and is the collective voice of over 2100 members in all States. Types of membership

Associate membership means the class of membership to which a person may be admitted with the right to receive information provided to all members but with no right to vote at any meeting or to stand for election to any office. This type of membership does not permit herd or animal registration. (Pro rata membership only available on 6 monthly basis.

Corporate membership is available only to companies registered with the Australian Securities Commission - one vote, one set of mail per membership. This membership is available to Australian residents only. (Pro-rata membership not available).

Educational membership means the class of membership to which an educational institution (within Australia only) may be admitted with the right to receive information provided to all members but with no right to vote at any meeting or to stand for election to any office. (Pro rata membership only available on 6 monthly basis.

Individual membership means one natural person, one vote, one set of mail per household.

Joint membership means the class of membership to which two or more persons may be admitted, not necessarily from the same address. One voting right, with the nominated representative to be the only member to conduct official business. One set of mail.

Non Australian Resident membership means the class of membership to which a person may be admitted with the right to receive information provided to all members but with no right to vote at any meeting nor stand for election to any office. Permits herd and animal registration. This membership is available to non Australian residents only. (Pro-rata membership not available).

Partner membership means the class of membership to which any two persons resident at the same address and living in a domestic relationship may be admitted to the Association, i.e. two voting rights, one set of mail per household.
