The Rescue Service

The Rescue Service was started in 1985 with the idea being, that should you lose your dog or find a lost Stafford there would be a central point of contact.

Unfortunately this service provided by the Club is fast becoming one of the most frequently used. With the increasing popularity of the breed more Staffords are ending up in animal shelters or as unwanted pets.

We update our site regularly with photos and information on dogs currently housed in Rescue with or through the club. Please contact our rescue coordinators if you think that you could give a rescued stafford a loving forever home, perhaps you might like to go on our waiting list. As not all the dogs that are rescued appear on the website. Some are matched up with families straight away.So if you think that this would be something that you would be interested in please drop Linda or Jan an email or give them a call.

How Can You Help?

The rescue service is always happy to accept help from those willing to offer. Monetary donations, blankets, towels, bedding, collars & leads, food, wormers, toys, dog jackets and anything of the sort is always gratefully received. The majority of rescue funds come from money raised via raffles or quite often from the own pockets of Linda and Jan.

We are also always on the lookout for suitable foster parents until forever homes are found as well as help with transporting dogs.

If you can offer ANY assistance in any way at all, please do not hesitate to contact Linda (0419 327 279) or Jan (0408 515 111).
